Kevin Feige confirms Abomination and Wong in the Shang dynasty-Chi drone

When Marvel dropped the newest trailer for Shang Qi and the Fable of the Ten Rings, one picky scene implied the return of an MCU villain not seen since 2008. Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige has straightaway official our suspicions: yes, that's The Abhorrence spotted in the final shot of the trailer.

This stylish tease is cut from a different textile than the first teaser, leverage less comedy beats and focusing more along our bomber's olden as helium grapples with the legacy bestowed upon him. But, hush, it's a Marvel movie drone and it's not without a tussle or cardinal. And the best carry through is saved for last, when Shang-Chi and his protagonist, Katy (Awkwafina) attend a fight club where we see Fix Strange's Wong in the ring out opposite what appears to be The Abomination.

Talking with Rotten Tomatoes, Feige confirmed suspicions. "Some fans said, 'This looks comparable a theatrical role they hadn't seen in many years named The Abomination, fighting a fictional character that looks like Wong'. And I can say that the reason it looks alike that is because that is Abomination fighting Wong."

With the MCU in Phase angle 4, and more than a decade of movies in its continuity, throwbacks to old characters are a perk.
