Hi Wayne,
the option "alter your account proper name" is present only in one of the two pc's, let'due south say the secondary one.
anyway I changed the proper name very easily and there is no trouble. The only question is: why this choice is non present in the other pc?

I don't encounter the Change Your Account Proper noun selection in Windows 10 Pro. The business relationship username assigned to me is my commencement initial and outset 4 letters of my surname. This follows a clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Previously, it gave my whole name. It's not a huge bargain, but it's notwithstanding abrasive. Whatever other ways if this choice isn't showing please?

I have the same problem. The option "change your account proper name" does not appear. I have 4 user accounts setup on my desktop. On two of them the pick to modify the name appears. On the other two it does non nor do they have the options to change the countersign. Very abrasive.

The real problem in this underlying question is that the option for "Modify the User Proper name" does not always show upwards and, from what I have noticed, it depends on the operating organization under which the local account was initially created. I converted two desktops to Windows10. One from from Windows seven and the other from Windows 8.1, The local accounts converted from Os 7 all testify the "Modify the User Proper name" selection. The ones converted from OS 8.i do non. Further, if 1 creates an account totally within Windows 10 it also does not testify the option to alter the names. And then, it appears to me that Microsoft made a conscious decision to eliminate that option starting with the OS eight.1
